Reflexology is already a powerful therapy in its own right. Tuning forks simply offer another gentle layer, bringing sound, vibration and nervous system support into the treatment space in a way that can feel deeply calming and restorative for clients.
This practical one-day course will show you how to safely and confidently integrate four weighted tuning forks into your existing reflexology treatments, creating a deeply relaxing and bespoke Tuning Forks in Reflexology experience that works beautifully alongside the skills you already have.
Whether you are completely new to tuning forks or already curious about sound and vibration, this course is designed to feel practical, grounded - and easy to integrate into your existing reflexology practice.
What you will explore during the day:
This is a hands-on, experiential course where you will both give and receive treatment. You will discover the science behind sound and vibration in a way that feels accessible and relevant to reflexology practice. We will explore how stress, tension and nervous system overload can create patterns of “dissonance” within the body, and how the vibration of weighted tuning forks may help encourage relaxation, regulation, and balance. You will also learn why the feet are such a powerful surface for sound work and how tuning forks can deepen the reflexology experience without overcomplicating your treatments.
Throughout the day you will:
- Work practically with all four weighted tuning forks on the feet
- Explore key acupressure points • Use tuning forks alongside reflexology techniques
- Learn how sound can support grounding, relaxation, lymphatic flow and energetic balance
- Explore chakra balancing through the foot reflex map
- Begin building a bespoke Tuning Fork in Reflexology treatment that reflects your own style and the needs of your clients
Your four weighted tuning forks
This course works with four specific weighted tuning forks, which you will purchase before attending, a lasting investment in your professional toolkit.
Otto 128 Hz
Your most versatile fork. Applied to reflex points across the feet and lower legs. Research suggests it may stimulate nitric oxide release in under 30 seconds, supporting deep relaxation, pain modulation, and joint mobility.
Otto 64 Hz
One octave lower, a slower, deeper vibration. Profoundly grounding and calming, particularly supportive for the autonomic nervous system, stress reduction and emotional overwhelm.
Otto 32 Hz
The gentlest of the three Otto forks. Typically moved slowly along the lymphatic and circulatory reflexes rather than held static. Deeply soothing, nurturing, and regulating.
OM 136.10 Hz
Derived from the calculated frequency of the Earth’s orbit around the sun. Warm, resonant, and deeply settling. Beautiful on the solar plexus and heart reflexes and often used as an opening or closing hold within treatment.
You will also need:
- A rubber activator puck
- A soft storage pouch for your forks (generally supplied with forks)
Full details of what to purchase, along with recommended suppliers, will be sent after booking, giving you plenty of time to source everything before the course day.
Please note:
students are required to bring their tuning forks to the course, as they are used throughout all practical elements of the training day.

I qualified as a classroom teacher back in 2007 and spent many years teaching children. My own wellness journey started some years later after some personal family difficulties.
By chance I found myself in a kundalini yoga class and it completely changed my life and my perspective on it. I decided to embark on a kundalini yoga teacher training course. Firstly, to deepen my knowledge, but secondly because I wanted to share this amazing technology with other people. Kundalini yoga enabled me to strip back the layers that had piled up over the years through family expectations and social conditioning. It enabled me to look deep inside and to accept, approve of and truly love who I am.
My journey has grown naturally and authentically and after experiencing the physical and emotional benefits of reflexology it seemed only natural for me to enhance my skills. I originally trained as Level 3 Practitioner but really wanted to deepen my understanding and knowledge so decided to embark on the Level 5 training with David Wayte and Jubilee College. I honestly believe this was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I now run my own successful Complimentary Therapy Clinic in East London ‘Inner Balance Wellbeing’ and have a passion for helping and supporting others.
In this fast-paced way of life we often push ourselves to the limit both physically and emotionally. We constantly neglect ourselves and allow our bodies to become depleted and running on empty. My mission in life is to empower people and give them the knowledge and tools to change their own self-care practices, to live their best life, in their best health, physically and mentally. I believe that we all have the right to be healthy and happy regardless of what life throws at us.

There are many courses and organisations, all offering different qualifications and styles of training - this can be very confusing when trying to choose the right Reflexology course for you.
Firstly, ensure that you don't enrol on a distance learning or correspondance course - none of the membership organisations listed on this website will accept these kind of courses.
Secondly, please be aware that there is a huge variety of standards in the level 3 training market (this is why we don't teach it). We even know of a school where you can train on a level 3 course that lasts for just 6 half-day lessons! Most of the level 3 courses now seem to be a combination of distance learning and 5 or 6 days learning practical Reflexology in class. We really don't think you can learn to be a well trained Reflexologist after just 5 or 6 days of lessons.
Jubilee College is honoured to offer the Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology, a qualification led and developed by Agored Cymru in collaboration with Reflexology practitioners and sector experts. The qualification was the first Level 5 Reflexology qualification regulated by Ofqual available in England and Wales.
Find out if the school you are proposing to study with, enables you to join the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC - the UK complementary healthcare regulator), via the professional organisation it is linked to. For example, Jubilee College is linked with the Association of Reflexologists, the UK's largest and longest running Reflexology Association. Also be aware that some of the level 3 'practitioner diplomas' don't meet the CNHC entry criteria.
Then, find out if the course is delivered entirely by the college you are thinking of training with. Some training establishments will 'farm out' part of their training (particularly Anatomy and Physiology) to online training providers - you may then not get the necessary teaching support for this element of the course. Jubilee College trains all its students for 100% of the course, giving dedicated contact teaching.
What do all these different levels mean - level 3, level5?

So in short the Level 3 is benchmarked at the same academic level as an A-Level, and Level 5 is benchmarked at the same academic level as a Foundation Degree. (Please also note, this is about the level of work you will be studying at and you will not be receiving a dregree on completion).

Our Training
Jubilee College, unlike many other training establishments, will train you to become a Level 5 Practitioner Reflexologist - capable of treating specific conditions. Jubilee is the largest Reflexology training college in the UK, with 14 training venues in Newcastle, York, Sheffield, Nottingham / Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Cambridge, Oxford, Brentwood, Central London, Maidstone, and Chichester. Students wishing to swap training dates between the venues are able to do so, making training throughout the year easier. In addition, the College also operates a flexible training plan, so if you need extra time to study, we will support you. Jubilee College operates a 'lifetime support' system for all our qualified Practitioner Reflexologists.

What is a Practitioner Reflexologist, aren't all Reflexologists the same?
A Practitioner Reflexologist is someone who has been trained to the highest standards and can create a treatment protocol for many different conditions. Unfortunately, there are too many people who have taken a short course (sometimes as short as a weekend) or un-accredited and then call themselves Reflexologists. As these courses are so short, they cannot possibly equip a therapist to competently treat conditions.
What entry qualifications do I need?
To succeed on this course, it is more about determination and hard work (since the course is intensive), rather than previous qualifications. A GCSE in Biology will be helpful, but it is not essential. You certainly don't need to have studied previously at Further or Higher Education level to successfully qualify on this course.
You do need to be able to speak and write in English, to be able to use Microsoft 'Word'/Apple 'Pages' and submit work via e-mail. You will also need to physically able to give Reflexology treatments.
Our courses start at various weekends in October each year, depending on the venue chosen.
Some of our venues also have a Spring start for students.

What days are the training sessions on?
Most of our training days are at the weekend to enable students to still keep a job, and then train at weekends. We also have mid-week starts to the course in Milton Keynes and Peterborough

How long does the course last?
Our courses normally run for one calender year. However, some students prefer to extend their period of study to suit their learning speed.
What happens if I can't get to all the training dates?
100% attendance is required for the duration of the course. However, we do understand that life is full of unexpected events. Therefore, the course is designed so that students can swap training dates by attending other venues (eg, if you can't make a Nottingham venue date, you can attend the same lesson at Sheffield, or one of the other venues).
How much time will I need to spend on homework?
The answer to this does very much depend on the individual. As a rule of thumb, we suggest 12 - 14 hours of home study per week. This does include case studies, assignments and revision of learning from classwork.
What qualification will I get?
You will qualify with Wales and England's highest award in Reflexology: The Agored Cymru Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology. This may be used, not only to become a professional Reflexologist, but also as 'accredited prior learning' towards other education programs. Do check with your learning provider as all providers have their own APL policies.
How many Credits will I be awarded?
You will be awarded 79 Credits by the Awarding Body, Agored Cymru.
Credits are more important than most people realise, as they also signify the difference between a regulated qualification, and a school that prints out it's own certificate but without any external awarding body. To signify this importance, the AoR only accept students who have completed a regulated qualification.
Don't I have to do an introductory course first?
No. You do not need to do an entry-level Reflexology course first (such as a level 3 diploma) - this is completely unnecessary.
How much does the course cost?
Our course costs £3995 + the fee's below (inc VAT).
Are there any extra costs incurred on top of the basic course fees?
With the exception of the items listed below, everything you need to pass the course is included in the total cost:
- Lafuma recliner chair (optional, but recommended)
- Uniforms (not needed until after the sixth lesson)
- Awarding body fee £300.20 (payable at the first lesson)
- IRC administration charge £60.00 (payable at first lesson)
- Student membership to the Association of Reflexologists £39 (payable direct to the AoR)
- Any towels, pillows, or other consumables you are wanting to use
Yes you can. This is done by Standing Order, is without extra charge and is arranged at the beginning of the course.
Can I get a Student Loan for this course?
Unfortunately not. Although the level of training is the correct level for student loans, because we are a private college our courses do not qualify for funding. To help spread the cost of the course, we give the option of monthly payments for the duration of the course.
