Aromatherapy Massage Training

There are many schools and colleges offering courses for Aromatherapy Massage training, but how do you know which one to go to? What level of training will you receive?  Will your qualification be widely recognised by all employers (both in the UK and overseas), including the UK government and the NHS?

Jubilee College offer Aromatherapy training in Nottingham that is fully accredited by the International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA), and delivers their Level 4 Diploma. The IFA was the first, and is the largest established governing body for Professional Aromatherapy in the world.  Founded in 1985, they hold charitable status (Registered Charity Number 327290).  Having charitable status ensures true integrity and helps the IFA to stay impartial in all their dealings.  Their non-profit status means that all revenue gets put back into increasing opportunities and benefits for its members.

The IFA is a truly international organisation with training schools and members all over the world.  It is accredited by LANTRA Awards and has Codes of Practice and Ethics, ensuring that standards and quality are sustained.  Since its formation, the IFA has been at the forefront of developments within the aromatherapy profession and has pioneered the use of aromatherapy in hospitals, hospices, special care units and general practice.  The IFA sets and maintains the highest standards in Aromatherapy worldwide.

After successful completion of the IFA Aromatherapy Massage Diploma with Jubilee College, you will:

  • Be a fully qualified Aromatherapist
  • Be able to become a full member of the IFA, together with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and,
  • As a graduate of Jubilee College and as a member of the IFA, be entitled to use the initials GJC (Dip.Aroma) and MIFA after your name.

Training takes the form of two modules:

Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology
This module is taught alongside the Reflexology Diploma, and successful completion of it is required before becoming fully qualified in Aromatherapy.  Students that don't already have this qualification, can study this module alongside their Aromatherapy training.  For the Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology training dates, click here and scroll halfway down the page.
